The Creation of PSU- Alaminos Campus
Pangasinan State University – Alaminos City Campus "Creation"
Last September 13, 2009 Mayor Hernani A. Braganza and Dr. Victoriano C. Estira, Pangasinan State University (PSU) president signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of a PSU campus here in Alaminos Pangasinan.
The said Campus will be the youngest and the 9th campus of PSU system.It will be the 1st University in Alaminos City.The other PSU campuses are in Asingan, Bayambang, Binmaley, Infanta, Lingayen, San Carlos, Sta. Maria, and Urdaneta. Dr. Elena Barcelona, the concurrent University Director for Cultural Affairs will be the incoming and first Dean of Alaminos City Campus.
The said campus will be an entrepreneurial non stock educational institution with the vision and mission of extending educational opportunities to the residents of the western Pangasinan. Among the courses to be offered are Teacher Education Program, B.S. in Hospitality Management, Agriculture, Medical Courses, and ladderized B.S. in Fisheries Education.
PSU Alaminos Campus will soon rise in barangay Bolaney which is going towards Zambales and just 4 kilometers away from the city proper.
According to the agreement the university will provide faculty, professors, instructors, administrative and support personnel as well as the necessary instructional materials, lab equipment, classroom and office facilities and student support.
On the part of the city government, it will provide the site and physical structure of classrooms, labs, administrative buildings and academic offices on its own lot and organize information campaigns and seminars to invite neighboring towns and their constituents to avail of the services and facilities of the campus.

Totoo po ba na PSU Alaminos is operating illegaly daw po at wala po itong permit from CHED?
ReplyDeleteHindi naman, alam naman nating marami na ang PSU campuses dito sa Pangasinan at OK naman ang history. Sinisiraan lang sya ng ibang mga schools kasi lumilipat na ang mga students mura kasi at maganda and mga courses. Wag kayong matakot na pumasok jan kasi pag nag graduate kayo sila naman ang maglalakad sa mga certificate nyo..
ReplyDeleteTandaan nyo di purket government schools ka galing e wala ka nang mararating, Di rin purket sa private schools ka galing e sigurado na ang future mo... Kayo ang gagawa ng ikakauunlad nyo... Tyaga at pagsusumikap lang kailangan.
Marami nang PSU graduate ang magandang namumuhay na ngaun dito sa manila.
